Best Of Africa 2025
It wasn’t easy for me to consolidate 18+ weeks in Amazing Africa into 80 photos.
We left Africa yesterday after 18+ weeks. We visited; Morocco, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Madagascar, Mauritius, Tanzania & Kenya.
“I never knew of a morning in Africa when I woke up that I was not happy” - Ernest Hemingway. Thanks E’Way…I couldn’t have said it better!
Some of the things that surprised me were how easy it is to navigate (albeit HUGE), how beautiful the agriculture is, how amazing the food is and how gracious & warm the people are. And we have met some of the most amazing fellow travelers! Special thanks to our “Paris Friends” Amanda, Anton, Alex and Annie from South Africa for the best SA advice ever! We truly admire the young people (especially the badass women) that are out here seeing the world, climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro (Mary & Florence) & visiting the Sahara Desert (Sofia & Katherine). We also met Yuki & Tristan in Morocco, she is from Japan, he’s French and they live in Kenya. They hosted us the past two weeks in Nairobi and we know that we have made lifelong friendships with them. Another wonderful travel outcome!
Love to you all and miss you so much,
Lyd

I thought I’d add the fact that 100% of these photos are ours and taken with our phone. We don’t have room for camera equipment on this trip.
